Bhubaneswar,(Orissa Today), Oct 16: Building on the success of its Delhi roadshow, the Government of Odisha is gearing up to host its second roadshow in Mumbai on October 19, intensifying preparations for the highly anticipated Utkarsha Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025. Led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, this roadshow aims to position Odisha as India’s next major hub for industry and investment.
Before the roadshow, CM Majhi will attend India Chem 2024 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre on October 18, where he will participate in the CEO’s Forum. This high-profile session will see him engage with industry leaders from the chemical sector, reflecting Odisha’s focus on expanding into chemicals and petrochemicals. The Union Minister JP Nadda will also grace the event.
The Mumbai roadshow marks a crucial step towards the Make in Odisha Conclave 2025, scheduled for January 28-29 in Bhubaneswar. Prominent business leaders, including Kumar Mangalam Birla, Sajjan Jindal, Vivek Bhatia, Amit Kalyani, and Balkrishan Goenka, will participate, underscoring Odisha’s growing industrial prominence.
Objectives of the Mumbai Roadshow
Promote investment opportunities across Odisha’s key sectors.
Strengthen confidence among current investors and encourage brownfield projects.
Attract new companies, especially in chemicals, textiles, renewable energy, and agro-industries.
Sampad Chandra Swain, Odisha’s Minister of Industries, stated, “The Chief Minister will be in Mumbai on the 18th and 19th. He will participate in India Chem, where industry leaders will explore potential projects, especially in Paradip, Gopalpur, and Dhamra. On the 19th, the roadshow will involve stakeholders from textiles, renewable energy, and banking to enhance Odisha’s industrial and financial landscape.”
Chief Minister Majhi is also scheduled to hold high-level meetings with top business figures during the event, focusing on bolstering partnerships in sectors such as petrochemicals, steel, electronics, and plastics. The roadshow will conclude with an interactive session, where Majhi will present Odisha’s strategic vision for infrastructure development, inviting global investors to participate in the Make in Odisha Conclave 2025.
With momentum building from its Delhi success, the Mumbai roadshow is expected to galvanize further investor interest, solidifying Odisha’s reputation as a preferred investment destination.
