Odisha Revolutionizes Land Transactions with Tehsil-Level Services Starting November 1
In a landmark move to decentralise and digitise land administration, the Odisha government will launch land sale and purchase services directly at tehsil offices beginning November 1, 2025.
Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari announced that Chief Minister Mohan Majhi will inaugurate the initiative, which aims to simplify property registration and enhance accessibility for citizens across the state.
The rollout will begin with 44 tehsil offices in the first phase, expanding to all 273 tehsils by December. Citizens can book registration slots online and complete transactions at their respective tehsil offices, eliminating the need to visit district-level offices.
“This initiative is a major step toward transparent, citizen-centric governance,” said Minister Pujari. “It will streamline property registration and empower rural communities by bringing services closer to their doorsteps.”
The reform reflects Odisha’s broader push for digital transformation in public services, aligning with national goals of e-governance and administrative efficiency.
