Odisha Reschedules SPOT Admissions for UG, PG, and B.Ed. Courses Amid Cyclone Montha Disruptions
Bhubaneswar: The Higher Education Department of Odisha has announced a revised schedule for SPOT admissions to Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), 2-Year B.Ed./M.Ed., 3-Year LL.B., and Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. programs under the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) for the 2025–26 academic session. The rescheduling comes in response to disruptions caused by Cyclone Montha.
According to the updated timeline, applicants must physically report to their respective Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) on October 30, 2025, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., to submit the Common Application Form (CAF) along with required documents. If unable to attend, candidates may send a representative with valid ID proof.
HEIs will publish the merit list of reported applicants on November 1, 2025, at 2 p.m., both on notice boards and institutional websites. Selected candidates will also be notified via phone or SMS.
From November 3 to 6, institutions will validate documents, admit waitlisted candidates, and collect admission fees through online payment methods, including Net Banking, NEFT, UPI, and Bank Challan. All admission details must be updated in the institutional e-space by November 6 at 11:45 a.m.
The department has urged all stakeholders to adhere strictly to the revised schedule to ensure transparency and timely completion of the admission process.
