Odisha Remembers Dr Debendra Pradhan on First Death Anniversary
Bhubaneswar, March 17: Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi paid heartfelt tributes to former Union Minister and senior BJP leader Dr Debendra Pradhan on his first death anniversary.
The memorial ceremony was held at Krishi Siksha Sadan in Bhubaneswar, where leaders remembered Dr Pradhan’s simplicity, humility, and lifelong dedication to strengthening the BJP in Odisha.
Rajnath Singh described Dr Pradhan as “a shining foundational pillar of Indian politics,” emphasising his consistency between words and deeds.
CM Majhi hailed him as a “wise and seasoned statesman of Odisha,” admired for his affectionate nature and commitment to party ideals.
On the occasion, the biography Doctor Babu, authored by Kalindi Samal, was released jointly by Singh and Majhi.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, MP Manmohan Samal, and several senior leaders also attended the event, underscoring Dr Pradhan’s enduring legacy as an inspiration for future generations.
