Odisha Pushes for Greater Inclusion of Women in MSME Sector
(OT Webdesk)In a decisive move to bolster entrepreneurship in Odisha, a high-level review meeting was held at O-Hub, Bhubaneswar, focusing on the performance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) schemes.
Chaired by Minister Gokulananda Mallick, the session emphasised empowering women entrepreneurs and enhancing their participation in the MSME ecosystem.
Minister Mallick highlighted that Odisha currently ranks 13th nationally in women-led MSMEs and urged officials to strive for top-tier performance.
The meeting reviewed central schemes like PMEGP, PMFME, and PM-Vishwakarma, alongside state initiatives such as CM-SHRI.
District-level challenges were discussed to streamline implementation and improve outcomes.
Senior officials, including D. Prasanth Kumar Reddy, Sanjay Kumar Mishra, Mahesh Kumar Choudhury, Prabhu Prasad Choudhury, and Samuchita Malli,k participated in the session.
The gathering reaffirmed Odisha’s commitment to inclusive economic growth, with women-led entrepreneurship at its core.
