Hanuman Jayanti Odisha 2025

Ahead of the auspicious Mahabishuba Sankranti and Hanuman Jayanti celebrations on April 14, the Odisha Chief Secretary, Manoj Kumar Ahuja, chaired a high-level review meeting at the DGP Camp Office in Bhubaneswar. The meeting focused on ensuring peaceful and orderly celebrations across the state.

The gathering was attended by the DGP Yogesh Bahadur Khurania, Additional Chief Secretary Satyabrata Sahu, and senior officials, including SPs and DIGs from all districts, who joined via video conferencing. Reviewing the arrangements, the Chief Secretary expressed appreciation for the police department’s efforts in maintaining law and order during Shri Ram Navami celebrations.

Special instructions have been issued to deploy around 10 companies of CAPF (Central Armed Police Forces), including 3 RAF (Rapid Action Force) companies, along with 200 platoons of state police to ensure safety. DGP Khurania emphasized vigilance in sensitive areas and directed the police to enhance patrolling, monitor social media for misinformation, and install AI-assisted CCTV cameras to strengthen surveillance.

Further, peace committees involving local representatives and stakeholders are being formed to foster harmony. Strict action will be taken against habitual offenders, and measures like checking for illegal liquor sales and drunk driving have been prioritized.

With scorching summer temperatures and possible Kalbaishakhi storms anticipated, arrangements for the well-being of on-duty personnel and the public have also been made. Authorities called for public cooperation and wished for smooth celebrations.
