Odisha Positions Itself as Global Hub for AI and FinTech at Black Swan Summit 2026

Bhubaneswar witnessed a landmark moment as the Black Swan Summit India 2026 brought together global leaders, innovators, and policymakers to chart the future of digital transformation.

With President Droupadi Murmu as Chief Guest and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi leading the state’s vision, the summit showcased Odisha’s ambition to emerge as a powerhouse in AI, FinTech, InsurTech, and digital‑led growth.

The event, organised under the BharatNetra initiative in partnership with Singapore’s Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN), attracted 1,500 delegates from 24 countries and nearly 100 speakers across five continents.

A major highlight was the signing of an MoU with Sarvam AI to establish India’s first Sovereign AI Park in Odisha, backed by a Rs 20,000 crore investment and thousands of new jobs.

Additional partnerships with Bajaj General Insurance, Spice Money, Surfin, Symbo Insurtech, and others underscored Odisha’s commitment to innovation and inclusion.

President Murmu emphasised the importance of skill development and global collaboration, while CM Majhi announced Odisha’s IT Policy 2025 and upcoming FinTech Policy to provide regulatory clarity and infrastructure support.

Chief Secretary Anu Garg reinforced Odisha’s reputation as an investor‑friendly state with policy stability and a strong talent base.

The summit also celebrated the success of BharatNetra’s collaboration with NUS’s Asian Institute of Digital Finance, which graduated its first cohort of 195 students and aims to train 7,000 students over five years, offering global exposure in Japan and Singapore.

With participation from leaders of Ant International, Accion, FINOLAB, MUFG, SMBC, Surfin Meta, and NUS Business School, the summit firmly positioned Odisha as a global hub for AI‑enabled finance and digital innovation.
