Odisha Positions Itself as GCC Powerhouse at TiECon Bhubaneswar 2025

Bhubaneswar, August 10 (OT Webdesk)— Odisha is rapidly emerging as a strategic hub for Global Capability Centres (GCCs), with a strong push toward innovation, AI, and digital transformation.

At the closing ceremony of TiECon Bhubaneswar 2025, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi invited global investors, mentors, and entrepreneurs to “invest, innovate, and grow” in the state.

Held at the Mayfair Convention Centre, the two-day summit brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and startups to explore opportunities in AI, chip design, blockchain, and FinTech.

Odisha’s revamped Semiconductor Policy and newly launched AI Policy 2025 were spotlighted as key enablers of this transformation.

Majhi emphasised that Odisha is no longer on the sidelines of India’s growth story. “We are actively positioning Odisha as a preferred destination for GCCs,” he said, adding that cities like Cuttack, Rourkela, Sambalpur, and Berhampur are being developed as digital hubs.

The AI Summit on Day 2 focused on inclusive growth, skill development, and responsible AI adoption.

Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling highlighted AI’s potential to empower farmers, artisans, and governance systems.

With a vision that goes beyond GDP growth, Odisha aims to create jobs, empower youth, and foster social justice—making it a compelling destination for global enterprises and startups alike.
