Odisha Police Transfers 25 Officers in Strategic Reshuffle Across Districts

(OT Webdesk)In a major administrative overhaul, the Odisha Police Headquarters in Cuttack issued two office orders on August 6, 2025, transferring 25 officers—including 21 Inspectors and 4 Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs)—across various districts and specialised units.

The reshuffle, outlined in Office Orders No. 2937 and 2938, aims to streamline personnel deployment based on operational needs, existing vacancies, and individual representations.

The move reflects the department’s ongoing efforts to enhance efficiency and responsiveness across its ranks.

Among the ASIs reassigned, Mahendra Tandi, Jitendra Samal, and Mirza Moin Baig have been posted to the Special Branch in Bhubaneswar, while Sanjukta Digal will join GRP, Rourkela, following her basic ASI training.

This strategic realignment is expected to bolster law enforcement capabilities and improve coordination across key regions in Odisha.
