Odisha Police Goes Digital: New Bilingual Website Launched for Citizens
Bhubaneswar, Dec 15: In a landmark move to modernise public interaction and enhance transparency, Odisha Director General of Police (DGP) Shri Yogesh Bahadur Khurania today unveiled a new bilingual website at the State Police Headquarters.
The portal, available in both Odia and English, is designed to serve as a bridge between the police and the public, offering seamless access to vital information and services.
Citizens can now conveniently obtain police updates and avail services through computers, laptops, or mobile devices.
Key features of the revamped platform include online citizen services, recruitment details, traffic and safety awareness resources, crime prevention measures, legal provisions, and timely alerts.
The website also hosts notices, press releases, and news updates to keep the public informed.
Senior officials, including Dr Santosh Bala (Director, SFSL), Shri Sanjay Kumar (Additional DGP, Law & Order), Shri Pratik Mohanty (Additional DGP, Headquarters), and Shri Charan Singh Meena (DIG, Provisioning), attended the launch ceremony, while District SPs and battalion officers joined virtually.
