Odisha Police Duty Meet 2025: Skill-Based Competitions Begin Oct 16 in Cuttack

Cuttack, Oct 15: The Odisha Police is set to host the 70th Police Duty Meet from October 16 to 19 at the Reserve Police Ground in Buxi Bazaar, Cuttack. Spearheaded by the Crime Branch, the event aims to sharpen operational skills and foster inter-departmental collaboration in modern crime-fighting.

A total of 276 police personnel, 43 sniffer dogs, and 43 handlers from 34 police districts and units will participate in the meet.

The competition lineup includes forensic science, crime scene investigation, cybercrime detection, fingerprint analysis, photography, videography, anti-sabotage drills, medico-legal procedures, and police dog demonstrations.

Events will be held across three venues: the Reserve Police Ground and OSAP 6th Battalion in Cuttack, and the Biju Patnaik State Police Academy in Bhubaneswar.

Participants will undergo both practical and written evaluations, with top performers advancing to the All India Police Duty Meet in Maharashtra this November.

Senior experts from various departments will conduct assessments, ensuring fair and rigorous evaluation across ranks—from Inspectors and Sub-Inspectors to Constables. The meet is expected to boost police efficiency, public trust, and Odisha’s preparedness in crime control and case resolution.
