Odisha Plus Two Internal Assessment Exams Begin | CHSE Prepares for 2026 Boards
The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, has launched the internal assessment examinations for Plus Two (Class 12) students, marking a crucial milestone in the academic calendar ahead of the 2026 board exams.
Beginning on December 22, 2025, the assessments will continue until December 31, 2025, with participation from over 373,910 students across Arts, Science, Commerce, and Vocational streams.
Schools and colleges are conducting evaluations that include written tests, project work, and practical components, all of which will contribute significantly to final grades.
Institutions are required to submit marks by January 25, 2026, reinforcing CHSE’s emphasis on continuous assessment. This updated evaluation pattern aims to promote holistic learning and reduce reliance on year‑end theory exams.
Meanwhile, the Annual Higher Secondary Exam 2026 theory papers are scheduled from February 18 to March 21, 2026, with practical exams set for January.
CHSE officials have urged institutions to ensure fair and transparent evaluation, highlighting the importance of consistent student performance under the revised system.
The state education department expects smooth conduct across all affiliated colleges, with the initiative seen as a step toward modernising Odisha’s higher secondary education framework.
