Odisha plans world-class science city in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Sep 1 (UNI) The Odisha government has announced plans to set up a world-class Science City in Bhubaneswar as an interactive hub featuring modern exhibitions, immersive
learning spaces, and advanced research facilities.
Proposed over 100 acres, the Science City aims to promote scientific studies and innovation in eastern India while fostering interest in research, education, and creativity, particularly among the youth.
A high-level committee, headed by Science and Technology Minister Krishna Chandra Patra, has been tasked with studying existing Science Cities across the country to incorporate best practices and ensure the proposed facility meets international standards.

On the first day of his two-day visit to Bihar, Minister Patra toured the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Science City in Patna and held detailed discussions with senior officials of the center.
He also met Bihar’s Deputy Chief Ministers, Vijay Kumar Sinha and Samrat Chaudhary, to
discuss issues of mutual interest.
