Odisha Matric Exams 2026: Tight Security, Tech Monitoring to Ensure Transparency
The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, has finalised arrangements for the upcoming matric, madhyama, and state open school examinations scheduled from February 19 to March 2, 2026.
A total of 5,61,979 students will appear across 3,082 centres statewide.
To prevent malpractice and ensure fairness, the BSE has introduced multiple security measures
322 nodal centres have been designated for safeguarding question papers, which have already reached the BSE headquarters in Cuttack under armed police protection.
The papers will be dispatched to nodal centres by February 17.
All exam centres and halls will be under CCTV surveillance with live streaming, monitored from a central command control room. Fire safety systems and 24‑hour armed security have been deployed at the headquarters.
In a bid to curb leaks, question paper booklets carry unique watermarks and numbering.
Strict distribution protocols will be followed from nodal centres to exam halls, ensuring real‑time monitoring of irregularities.
Officials emphasised that these measures aim to deliver a transparent, malpractice‑free environment for students, reinforcing public trust in the state’s examination system.
