Odisha Honoured as Best State in Agriculture at National Conclave

(OT Webdesk)In a proud moment for Odisha, the state has been awarded the prestigious Best State in Agriculture title at the 16th Agriculture Leadership Conclave held in New Delhi on July 9.

The recognition was presented by the Agriculture Today Group, acknowledging Odisha’s progressive strides in farming practices and rural empowerment.

Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, who also oversees the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment, received the award on behalf of the Odisha Government.

Upon his return, Singh Deo ceremonially handed over the accolade to Governor Ganeshi Lal at Raj Bhavan in Bhubaneswar.

Agriculture Department Principal Secretary Aravind Kumar Padhee was also present during the handover.

Speaking on the occasion, the Governor praised the contributions of farmers and stakeholders across the state, expressing hope that this honour would further energise agricultural development.

This award is expected to reinforce Odisha’s commitment to innovation in farming, support for agro-based industries, and empowerment of farmer communities.
