Bhubaneswar, July 28, (OT Webdesk) — The official Instagram account of Odisha’s Higher Education Department was briefly compromised early Monday, triggering concerns over digital security in government communications.
Unrelated and unauthorised posts flooded the account during the breach, prompting swift action from department officials. The account was quickly recovered and all suspicious content was removed.
In response to the incident, the department has announced plans to file a First Information Report (FIR) to initiate a formal investigation.
Officials emphasised the need for stronger cybersecurity protocols to safeguard digital platforms from future threats.
