Bhubaneswar, June 27(OT Webdesk): The Odisha Higher Education Department has paused admissions for the 2025–26 academic session to B.Ed. (Arts/Science), B.H.Ed. and M.Ed. programs, citing discrepancies in entrance exam evaluations under the Student Academic Management System (SAMS).
Following multiple grievances from students and stakeholders, the State Selection Board (SSB) has been instructed to form subject-wise expert panels for re-verification of the answer keys used in the entrance tests.
Authorities emphasised that this step aims to reinforce fairness and transparency in the admission process.
All admission-related activities remain suspended until the re-verification is completed. The revised schedule will be released through official channels, including the SAMS portal and leading dailies.
The directive, issued under the order of the Governor, highlights the state’s commitment to upholding academic integrity and ensuring a just selection process for aspiring educators.
Students and institutions are urged to refrain from relying on unofficial sources to avoid misinformation and confusion.
