Odisha Govt to Distribute 7,000 Job Letters Across 13 Departments at Mega Fair

Bhubaneswar: In a landmark initiative to boost employment opportunities, the Odisha government will host a mega job fair at Kalinga Stadium on November 25, 2025, where Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will personally hand over more than 7,000 appointment letters to selected candidates.

This recruitment drive, one of the largest in recent years, spans 13 key departments. The Home Department will issue 2,350 job letters, while the School and Mass Education Department will provide 2,750.

The Forest and Environment Department will contribute 1,750 positions.

Smaller allocations will be made across other departments, including Higher Education, Water Resources, Labour, Steel and Mines, Commerce and Transport, Fisheries, Planning and Coordination, and Agriculture.

Officials have prepared the list of selected candidates in advance to ensure smooth distribution. A preparatory meeting emphasised transparency and efficiency, reflecting the government’s commitment to youth empowerment and employment generation.

The mega job fair is expected to draw significant attention, as thousands of families across Odisha await the official distribution.

The initiative highlights the state’s focus on strengthening education, environment, agriculture, and public service sectors, while reinforcing its pledge to create sustainable opportunities for the youth.
