Odisha Govt Sets March 31 Deadline for Pending Disciplinary Reports

The Odisha Revenue and Disaster Management Department has directed all investigating officers to submit pending disciplinary investigation reports against Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) junior branch officers and Odisha Revenue Service (ORS) officers by March 31, 2026.

Despite existing guidelines mandating submission within 90 days of appointment, delays have persisted, stalling disciplinary proceedings.

The department has now warned that investigating officers showing negligence or failing to comply will face government action.

The directive has been issued to Additional District Magistrates, Chief Development and Executive Officers of Zilla Parishads, and RDCs in Cuttack and Sambalpur.

District Collectors have been instructed to conduct regular reviews to ensure timely compliance.

This move underscores the state government’s push for accountability, transparency, and efficiency within its administrative cadre, aiming to streamline disciplinary processes and restore public trust in governance.
