Odisha Govt Reshuffles Senior OAS Officers Across Key Departments
Bhubaneswar, Sept 25: In a sweeping administrative move, the Odisha government has announced a series of transfers and postings involving senior Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) officers.
The reshuffle, issued by the General Administration & Public Grievance Department, impacts several strategic departments, including Parliamentary Affairs, Health & Family Welfare, Urban Development, and ST & SC Development.
Among the key changes, Shri Sibo Narayan Sahu has been appointed Special Secretary to the Parliamentary Affairs Department, while Dr. Monalisa Lenka replaces him as Deputy Director General (Admin.) at the Gopabandhu Academy of Administration.
Smt. Soojata Mesra will continue in her current role in the ST & SC Development Department, as her earlier transfer to Higher Education has been revoked. Shri Sashank Sekhar Dash has been posted as Additional Secretary in the Health & Family Welfare Department, and Smt. Mamata Rani Naik joins the Housing & Urban Development Department as Joint Secretary.
In a notable foreign service posting, Shri Chinmaya Kumar Acharya has been appointed General Manager of the Odisha State Medical Corporation. Shri Ashok Kumar Das takes charge as Deputy Commissioner of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation.
Meanwhile, previously announced transfers of Smt. Dharitri Mishra, Shri Prafulla Kumar Swain, and Shri Sanjay Kumar Pratihari have been cancelled, with all three officers continuing in their existing roles.
This reshuffle is seen as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance administrative efficiency and realign departmental leadership with evolving governance priorities.
