
Odisha Govt Reassigns Key IAS Officers to Boost Urban Governance
(OT Webdesk)In a strategic move to reinforce administrative leadership across major urban hubs, the Odisha government has entrusted additional responsibilities to several senior IAS officers.
The reshuffle aims to streamline governance and enhance operational efficiency in cities like Cuttack, Rourkela, Sambalpur, and Berhampur.
Aboli Sunil Naravane (2015 batch), currently Director at the Industries Department in Cuttack, has been given additional charge as Managing Director of both the Odisha Small Industries Corporation and Odisha State Financial Corporation.
In Rourkela, Dheenah Dastageer (2021 batch), serving as ADM, will continue to hold multiple roles, including Commissioner of the Rourkela Municipal Corporation, CEO of Rourkela Smart City Ltd., and Secretary of the Rourkela Development Authority.
Rehan Khatri, Kirandeep Kaur Sahota, and Prathamesh Arvind Rajshirke—all 2021 batch officers—will retain their dual roles as Commissioners of their respective Municipal Corporations and Vice-Chairpersons of their city’s Development Authorities.
This administrative reshuffle reflects the state’s commitment to integrated urban planning and leadership continuity in key governance institutions.
