Odisha Govt Attaches Five Officers to Assist Governance Reforms Committee

Bhubaneswar, Dec 2: The Odisha Government has constituted a Committee on Administrative and Governance Reforms (CAGR) to undertake a comprehensive review of the state’s administrative structure, rules, and procedures.

The initiative is closely aligned with Odisha Vision 2036 & 2047, which aims to modernise governance and enhance efficiency across departments.

To strengthen the committee’s functioning, five officers have been attached in addition to their existing duties. They include:

  • Sri Sibo Narayana Sahu, OAS (SS), Special Secretary, Parliamentary Affairs Department
  • Sri Sabyasachi Hota, OAS (SAG), General Manager, Odisha Computer Application Centre (OCAC), Bhubaneswar, with additional charge as Joint Secretary, Electronics & IT Department
  • Sri Ansuman Rath, OAS Gr.A (JB), Under Secretary, GA & PG Department, deployed in the Chief Secretary’s Office
  • Sri Saumyaranjan Sahoo, Assistant Section Officer, AR Cell, GA & PG Department
  • Sri Sugyana Kumar Nayak, Assistant Section Officer, AR Cell, GA & PG Department

The order has come into immediate effect. Officials said the move reflects the government’s commitment to streamlining public administration and preparing a roadmap for long‑term governance reforms.
