Odisha Governor inaugurates silver filigree durga idols at Cuttack Puja Pandal

Bhubaneswar, Sep 29 (UNI) Odisha Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati, accompanied by First Lady Jayashree Kambhampati, visited the Jobra Durga Puja pandal in Cuttack, inaugurated the intricately crafted silver filigree idols and offered prayers to the goddess.

The exquisitely designed idols, specially prepared for this year’s festival, highlight Cuttack’s world-renowned silver filigree tradition.

Dr Kambhampati lauded the craftsmanship and commended the organisers for preserving and promoting the city’s rich cultural heritage.

He also conveyed his greetings to the people of Odisha, wishing them a peaceful and joyous Durga Puja.

The Governor and First Lady were received by members of the organising committee, who briefed them on the arrangements and the artistry of the idols.

Barabati MLA Sofia Firdous, Choudwar MLA Souvic Biswal, Cuttack Municipal Corporation Mayor Subhash Chandra Singh, and senior district administration officials were also present to welcome the dignitaries.
