Odisha Government Announces Major IAS Reshuffle Across Key Departments
Bhubaneswar: In a significant administrative overhaul, the Odisha government has reassigned several senior IAS officers to strengthen governance across critical sectors, including revenue, mining, agriculture, urban development, disaster management, and social welfare.
Among the notable changes, Deoranjan Kumar Singh continues as Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) in Steel & Mines, while Surendra Kumar has been appointed ACS in GA&PG, retaining Parliamentary Affairs.
Bishnupada Sethi takes charge as Chairman of Odisha Forest Development Corporation, and Dr Arabinda Kumar Padhee moves to ACS in Revenue & Disaster Management.
Usha Padhee has been given additional responsibility as Chairperson of IDCO, while Suresh Kumar Vashishth has been shifted to Social Security & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.
Shubha Sarma will now fully oversee Water Resources, and NBS Rajput has been appointed to Commerce & Transport.
Other key appointments include Girish S.N. as Chairman of Odisha Mining Corporation, Dr Mrinalini Darswal returning to Women & Child Development, and Balwant Singh taking additional charge as MD of Odisha State Highway Authority.
Sachin Ramchandra Jadhav has been moved to Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment, Rashmita Panda becomes Vice Chairman of Bhubaneswar Development Authority, and Md. Sadique Alam takes over Public Enterprises and CRUT.
Mansi Nimbhal has been appointed Commissioner-cum-Secretary in Mission Shakti, Prem Chandra Chaudhary moves to Fisheries & Animal Resources Development, Anupam Saha adds MD of Odisha Bridge & Construction Corporation, and Sangram Keshari Mohapatra expands responsibilities to Northern Division and Western Odisha Development Council.
This reshuffle reflects the government’s intent to enhance efficiency, streamline administration, and strengthen delivery in priority sectors.
