Odisha Extends Mukhyamantri Shikhya Puraskar Deadline to Feb 28
Bhubaneswar, Feb 21: The Odisha government has extended the application deadline for the Mukhyamantri Shikhya Puraskar 2025‑26 to February 28, 2026, giving eligible education officers more time to apply.
The scheme, launched in November 2022, recognises excellence in academic achievement and holistic school development.
It honours students, principals, school management committees, alumni, gram panchayats, and district administrators for their contributions to strengthening the education ecosystem.
District Education Officers (DEOs) and Block Education Officers (BEOs) who joined duty by March 31, 2024, are eligible to apply through the official portal msp.odisha.gov.in (msp.odisha.gov.in in Bing).
The Mukhyamantri Shikhya Puraskar is implemented by the Department of School and Mass Education, Odisha, and has already benefited more than 50,000 students and 1,500 principals across the state.
Officials said the extension aims to ensure wider participation and encourage more education leaders to showcase their work in advancing quality education in Odisha.
