Odisha Educators Honored with National Teacher Award 2025
In a proud moment for Odisha, two exceptional educators—Basanta Kumar Rana of Kandel Upper Primary School, Malkangiri, and Tarun Kumar Das of PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya, Koraput—have been conferred with the prestigious National Teacher Award 2025.
The awards were presented at a grand ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, graced by President Droupadi Murmu and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Each awardee received Rs 50,000 and a certificate of recognition for their outstanding contributions to education.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended warm wishes to teachers nationwide, acknowledging their pivotal role in shaping India’s future.
Local officials, including Malkangiri District Collector Somesh Kumar Upadhyay and District Education Officer Chittaranjan Panigrahi, lauded the honorees for bringing pride to the state and spotlighting the transformative power of education in remote regions.
