Odisha Deputy CM Pravati Parida Confident of NDA’s Vice-Presidential Victory

Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida has voiced strong confidence in the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) success in the upcoming Vice-Presidential election. Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Parida attributed the anticipated win to “Lord Jagannath’s blessings,” predicting a sweeping victory for the NDA candidate.

Echoing her optimism, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi also expressed certainty about the NDA’s prospects. After a strategic meeting with Odisha MPs at the residence of Balasore MP Pratap Chandra Sarangi in New Delhi, Majhi stated, “It is quite clear that the numbers are in favour of the NDA candidate. I am confident that the NDA nominee will win handsomely.”

However, Majhi refrained from commenting on the Biju Janata Dal’s (BJD) decision to abstain from voting in the election, leaving political observers speculating about the implications of BJD’s silence.

The Vice-Presidential election has drawn national attention, with CP Radhakrishnan emerging as the NDA’s nominee. As Odisha’s leadership rallies behind the alliance, the political landscape continues to shift ahead of the crucial vote.
