Odisha Deputy CM Launches Third Subhadra Instalment from Kotia on Rakhi Purnima

Koraput,(OT Webdesk)— Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida reaffirmed the Odisha government’s commitment to inclusive development during her visit to Kotia, a disputed border village in Koraput district.

Marking Rakhi Purnima, she announced the rollout of the third instalment of the Subhadra financial aid scheme, beginning from Kotia itself.

Addressing concerns from over 100 previously excluded women, Parida confirmed their inclusion in the scheme, reiterating the government’s goal of “Subhadra in every household.”

She engaged with self-help groups, Lakhpati Didis, Anganwadi workers, and other stakeholders to assess the impact of earlier aid and promote women’s self-reliance.

Highlighting infrastructure gaps, Parida revealed plans to upgrade Kotia’s 26 Anganwadi centres into Saksham Anganwadis and open new ones where needed.

The visit was attended by senior officials, including the District Collector, Sub-Collector, SP, School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond, and MLAs from Koraput, Kotpad, and Jeypore.
