Odisha Common PG Entrance Test 2026: Applications Open Feb 27, Exams from April 27
The Higher Education Department of Odisha has announced that online applications for the Common PG Entrance Test (CPET‑2026) will begin on February 27, 2026, through the SAMS portal.
The deadline for submission is March 15, 2026.
The entrance examination will be conducted across multiple subjects between April 27 and May 10, 2026.
Admission to postgraduate courses in universities and colleges will be strictly based on marks secured in this test, ensuring transparency and merit‑based selection.
The department has also directed institutions to commence PG classes by July 10, 2026, aiming to streamline the academic calendar.
This move is expected to facilitate timely syllabus completion, smooth conduct of examinations, and prompt declaration of results.
Officials emphasised that the CPET system is designed to bring uniformity and efficiency to postgraduate admissions across Odisha, benefitting thousands of aspiring students.
