Bhubaneswar, July 7 (OT Webdesk): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, accompanied by seven key ministers and senior bureaucrats, presided over the 12th round of the “Lokanka Sarkar” grievance hearing initiative today in Unit-2, Bhubaneswar.
The outreach program witnessed over 1,000 citizens present their concerns directly to the state’s top leadership, embodying a remarkable model of participatory governance.
The session emphasised the CM’s commitment to resolving issues faced by marginalised individuals and vulnerable communities. Out of 10,894 grievances received till the 11th round, 10,132 have been addressed, marking an impressive 93% redressal rate.
In a deeply empathetic gesture, the CM personally interacted with differently abled attendees, listened to individual concerns, and instructed departmental heads to take immediate action. Among the major outcomes was the disbursement of ₹9.5 lakh in medical assistance to 10 beneficiaries under the “Single Window” system. Since the beginning of the year, 48 individuals have received ₹53.5 lakh in emergency support through this streamlined welfare approach.
Ministers across departments—Revenue, Health, Education, Tribal Welfare, and Environment—actively participated in grievance resolution. Senior officers, including principal secretaries and grievance cell administrators, coordinated efforts for real-time action.
Citizens exiting the hall expressed satisfaction and renewed trust in the system. Many described the initiative as empowering, allowing ordinary voices to reach the corridors of power without bureaucracy.
This program continues to transform public perception, reaffirming the administration’s pledge to stay connected with citizens, especially those on society’s margins.
