Deogarh, June 3, (OT Webdesk): In a major step towards regional development, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 15 welfare projects in Deogarh, amounting to approximately ₹205 crore.
These projects span across healthcare, education, and essential infrastructure, marking a new chapter in the district’s growth.
Among the key initiatives, a newly constructed 300-bed hospital was officially inaugurated to provide advanced medical care to residents. Additionally, 11 healthcare projects and four educational enhancement programs were launched, reinforcing the government’s commitment to improving essential services.
Recognizing the contributions of Kendupatra workers and seasonal staff, the Chief Minister announced a financial assistance package worth ₹41.17 crore. Under this scheme, over 9 lakh workers will receive subsidies for essential commodities, including footwear, clothing, mosquito nets, and blankets.
Addressing the gathering, CM Majhi emphasized the administration’s vision of making Deogarh an exemplary model of growth within Odisha. He reiterated his government’s pledge to ensure holistic development by focusing on education, healthcare, agriculture, industries, and employment.
The event was attended by key dignitaries, including Odisha Health Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling, Deogarh MLA Romañch Ranjan Biswal, and District Collector Kabindra Chandra Sahu. Their presence underscored the significance of these projects in shaping Deogarh’s future.
With these latest developments, the Odisha government aims to accelerate the state’s progress, aligning with the broader vision of a prosperous India by 2047.
