Odisha CM Thanks PM Modi, Railways Minister for New Amrit Bharat Train Service
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for approving a new Amrit Bharat train service connecting Podanur (Coimbatore) and Dhanbad.
The train will pass through key stations in Odisha, including Rayagada, Muniguda, Kesinga, Titlagarh, Balangir, Bargarh Road, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, and Rourkela.
This new service is expected to benefit seven districts across southern and western Odisha, particularly the KBK region, by enhancing connectivity and boosting opportunities for residents.
Beyond Odisha, the train will link the state directly with major industrial and commercial hubs in Tamil Nadu (Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Salem) and Jharkhand (Ranchi, Bokaro, Dhanbad).
CM Majhi highlighted that the initiative reflects the Central Government’s commitment to strengthening railway infrastructure and accelerating regional development.
