“Working for Mahaprabhu is a Matter of Fortune,” Declares Chief Minister Majhi
📍 Bhubaneswar/Puri, 1 July (OT Webdesk): In preparation for the remaining grand events of the Rath Yatra—Bahuda, Suna Besha, and Niladri Bije—Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi convened a high-level security review at Puri’s Special Circuit House today.
With enormous crowds anticipated, especially during Suna Besha, the Chief Minister emphasised a three-pronged security strategy:
- Safe and seamless Rath operations
- Devotee safety through enhanced coordination
- Streamlined traffic and fire control
CM Majhi underscored the importance of real-time crowd estimation to proactively prevent congestion and ensure orderly movement of devotees. Authorities have been instructed to strictly follow Rath Yatra security SoPs and explore staggered issuance of cordon passes to control crowd density. He also suggested working with Maharana and Bhoi Sevaks on establishing a towing protocol for the chariots in case of obstructions.
To ensure the smooth execution of the Mahaprabhu’s rituals, the CM called for additional police deployment during the high-attendance events of Bahuda and Suna Besha. Special attention will be directed toward Puri-Bhubaneswar roads, beaches, railway stations, bus stands, and temple front areas.
Acknowledging the swelling footfall along the coastline, CM Majhi called for synergised efforts between the police and fire services to ensure beach safety during festive nights.
“Working for Mahaprabhu is a Blessing” Reinforcing the spiritual significance of the occasion, CM Majhi remarked, “This responsibility is not just an administrative duty—it’s a matter of fortune. Let us discharge it with full devotion and coordination.”
