Odisha CM Orders Tight Security for Peaceful Ram Navami 2026 Celebrations

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has directed police and administrative officials to ensure tight security and smooth conduct of Ram Navami celebrations across Odisha on March 27, 2026.

Chairing a high‑level meeting at Lok Seva Bhavan, the CM emphasised maintaining peace and harmony during the festival, urging departments to replicate last year’s successful vigilance.

Large‑scale deployment of police personnel, inter‑departmental coordination, and proactive monitoring will be implemented to safeguard devotees as they celebrate the birth anniversary of Lord Shree Ram Chandra.

Senior officials, including Advisor Prakash Mishra, Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Hemant Sharma, DGP Y.B. Khurania, and Bhubaneswar‑Cuttack Police Commissioner Suresh Dev Datta Singh, attended the meeting.

The CM underscored that the festival should remain a symbol of devotion and unity, free from disturbances, with law enforcement ensuring a safe environment for all.
