Odisha CM Mohan Majhi Honors PM Modi’s 75th Birthday with Statewide Celebrations
Bhubaneswar, September 17, 2025 — Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended heartfelt wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 75th birthday, calling it “a day of joy” for the nation.
Recalling PM Modi’s visit to Odisha on the same occasion last year, Majhi highlighted the emotional moment when the Prime Minister shared a humble meal of kheer prepared by an Adivasi woman.
To mark the milestone, the Odisha government organised a series of celebratory events across the state, including a massive cleanliness drive aimed at promoting civic responsibility and environmental awareness. “We have conducted a statewide cleanliness drive and other initiatives to celebrate this special day,” Majhi stated.
The tribute was part of a broader wave of celebrations nationwide, with Odisha contributing its unique cultural flavour.
Notably, renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik crafted an intricate sand sculpture featuring 750 lotus flowers in honour of the Prime Minister’s birthday.
The day’s events not only reflected admiration for PM Modi’s leadership but also showcased Odisha’s commitment to community engagement and cultural pride.
