Odisha CM Mohan Majhi Celebrates Chhath Puja, Emphasizes Unity and Nature’s Blessings
Bhubaneswar, 28 Oct: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi joined thousands of devotees in Bhubaneswar to celebrate Chhath Puja at the Nua Bali Jatra Ground in Mancheswar.
Accompanied by his wife, Dr. Priyanka Mandi, the CM offered Arghya to the Sun God, praying for the peace, prosperity, and well-being of all citizens.
In his address, Majhi highlighted Chhath Puja as a symbol of cultural unity and spiritual discipline. “This festival teaches us simplicity, purity, and devotion. It reminds us that nature—sunlight, water, and air—is the true essence of life,” he said.

The Chief Minister expressed pride in Odisha’s growing embrace of Chhath Puja, traditionally celebrated in Bihar, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh. He noted that the festival’s rising popularity across Odisha reflects the state’s inclusive spirit and cultural harmony.
Majhi concluded with a heartfelt message: “May Odisha continue to progress. May our farmers, workers, youth, and women grow stronger, and may every home be filled with happiness and light.”
The event saw participation from dignitaries, including Vishwas Foundation President Rajkumar, Vice President Ajay Bahadur Singh, General Secretary Ashok Bhagat, and Bihar Vikas Parishad Coordinator Anand Mohan.
