Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi’s Strategic Delhi Visit Spurs Development Dialogue

(OT Webdesk)Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi returned to Bhubaneswar after a high-stakes visit to Delhi that spotlighted Odisha’s long-term development agenda.

In a pivotal 35-minute meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Majhi pushed for aligning Odisha’s Vision 2036 with India’s broader Vision 2047 for national progress.

The two leaders discussed actionable strategies to accelerate Odisha’s growth and strengthen its position among India’s leading states.

The CM’s itinerary included meetings with President Droupadi Murmu—where the Vision Document outlining Odisha’s aspirations was formally presented—Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and BJP General Secretary BL Santosh.

Majhi also paid homage to the late father of Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, underscoring the personal and political significance of his visit.

Meanwhile, Majhi confronted the Balasore student self-immolation incident head-on.

He condemned the event and initiated a formal investigation through the Higher Education Department.

Visiting AIIMS Bhubaneswar, Majhi assured medical and emotional support to the victim’s family and signalled a possible airlift to AIIMS Delhi for advanced treatment.

Reaffirming his commitment to justice and safety, the CM pledged decisive action and institutional reforms to prevent such tragedies.

His visit signals an administration deeply invested in both visionary planning and responsive governance.
