Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi Hosts 15th Grievance Hearing in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Nov 24: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday conducted his 15th public grievance redressal hearing at the old Government Primary School in Unit‑II, Bhubaneswar.

Nearly 1,000 registered citizens attended, marking the first such session since July 28.

Residents presented a wide range of concerns, including pension delays, land allotment challenges, and housing benefit modifications. Departmental officials documented each case for follow‑up action.

A displaced resident from Dhenkanal expressed gratitude after receiving a pension of Rs 3,500 and requested land allotment. The Chief Minister assured her that the matter would be reviewed.

State Forest, Environment and Climate Change Minister Ganesh Ram Singh Khuntia emphasised that the government is focused on delivering solutions through action rather than announcing new schemes.

He described the initiative as a reflection of a “people’s CM,” highlighting the administration’s commitment to addressing grievances case by case.

Introduced earlier this year, the grievance programme aims to strengthen direct communication between citizens and senior leadership.

With Monday’s event marking the 15th such hearing, officials confirmed that follow‑up actions will be carried out by the concerned departments.

More hearings are expected at regular intervals to track progress on previously submitted grievances.
