Odisha CM Majhi Reviews Paddy Procurement, Economic Corridor Plans for Regional Growth

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will conduct a detailed review of the ongoing Kharif paddy procurement process across Odisha this evening.

The meeting, scheduled at 7:30 PM in Lok Seva Bhawan, will assess district‑level progress and address challenges faced by farmers.

Key ministers, including Deputy CM, Agriculture Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, Supply Minister Krushna Chandra Patra, and Cooperatives Minister Pradeep Bal Saman,t will participate.

In a related development, CM Majhi will chair a high‑level session on Wednesday to review the proposed Bhubaneswar‑Puri‑Cuttack economic corridor.

The initiative aims to enhance connectivity, industrial growth, tourism, and urban planning in eastern Odisha.

Senior officials and former ministers are expected to join the discussions, which highlight the government’s commitment to transforming the corridor into a thriving economic hub.

The meeting is slated for noon at Lok Seva Bhawan.
