Odisha CM Majhi, ex-CM Naveen condole demise of Pope Francis

Bhubaneswar, Apr 21 (UNI) Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday condoled the demise of Pope Francis, who passed away at his Vatican residence this morning.
Taking to his X handle, Majhi said, “Deeply saddened by the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis, who will always be remembered for his compassion and humility.”
He added that as the first Latin American leader of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Francis inspired millions across the world with his message of unity and love. Majhi expressed his heartfelt condolences to the global Catholic community.
Former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also expressed his profound grief at the passing of Pope Francis.
“Deeply saddened to learn about the passing away of His Holiness #PopeFrancis,” Patnaik posted on X.
He noted that Pope Francis’s papacy was marked by compassion, humility, and the promotion of interfaith dialogue. “My thoughts and prayers are with his millions of followers and admirers,”
