Odisha CM Majhi Dedicates Mondays to Public Grievance Redressal, Launches Reforms & Jobs Drive
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has announced that every Monday will be dedicated to hearing and resolving public grievances across the state.
Senior officers at both state and district levels will prioritise grievance hearings, ensuring citizens’ concerns are addressed promptly unless unavoidable high-level meetings intervene.
The Chief Minister emphasised his government’s commitment to clean, efficient, and transparent governance, highlighting that over 400 government services are now available online.
Since assuming office, Majhi has personally interacted with more than 50,000 citizens, resolving nearly 15,000 grievances with a success rate of 95 per cent.
Through these grievance hearings, 24,000 beneficiaries have been included under the Subhadra Yojana.
Majhi also unveiled a 15-point administrative reform programme aimed at improving service delivery and strengthening public trust in governance.
On the employment front, the government has already completed nearly 40,000 appointments, with a target of 1.5 lakh recruitments over the next five years.
Majhi described this period as “Years of Opportunities” for Odisha’s youth.
The Chief Minister further praised the Odisha Vigilance Department for its strong anti-corruption drive, noting a conviction rate above 50 per cent against corrupt officials.
He reiterated his government’s zero-tolerance policy, warning that “corrupt officials are now counting their days in fear.”
