Odisha CM Launches ‘Ama Sathi’ WhatsApp Bot for 170+ Services

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today inaugurated the Ama Sathi unified WhatsApp bot at Lok Seva Bhawan, marking a major step toward citizen‑centric governance in Odisha.

The initiative enables people to access more than 170 government services—including revenue and disaster management—directly through WhatsApp (9437292000) or the Ama Sathi mobile app, available round‑the‑clock.

The CM emphasised that the platform will eliminate middlemen, enhance transparency, and save citizens valuable time.

“Transparency is the foundation of a Developed Odisha,” Majhi said, underscoring the government’s commitment to delivering services at people’s doorsteps.

Alongside the launch, 57 new sub‑registration offices were opened across the state, ensuring that all 317 tehsils now have operational offices.

An additional office was set up in Cuttack, fulfilling a key promise of the government.

In a significant reform, 11 critical revenue services—including caste, residence, and legal heir certificates, as well as mutation and conversion cases—are now accessible via WhatsApp.

A special campaign has also been rolled out to expedite inheritance mutation of land records across all tehsils, enabling farmers to access schemes and benefits more easily.

The dual initiatives reflect Odisha’s vision of efficient, transparent, and corruption‑free governance, strengthening the state’s digital infrastructure and empowering citizens with seamless access to essential services.
