Bhubaneswar, (Orissa Today),July 13: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi delivered a stirring address to newly graduated armed police sub-inspectors at the Biju Patnaik State Police Academy today, emphasizing the profound commitment and sacrifices inherent in police service.
Addressing the 113 graduating armed police sub-inspectors, who are poised to begin their duties, Majhi underscored the significance of upholding good conduct and duty to enhance the police force’s public perception.
He paid solemn tribute to fallen police personnel who sacrificed their lives in service and extended heartfelt congratulations to the graduating officers for completing their rigorous training.
Majhi expressed confidence in the officers’ acquired professional knowledge and skills, emphasizing their crucial role in daily service and assuring them of his personal commitment to their welfare.
“As you embark on this journey, prepare yourselves for formidable challenges ahead,” Majhi urged, highlighting the Odisha Police’s Special Operation Group as a premier force in countering Maoist threats. He praised the officers for their potential to enhance the state’s security operations and expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and the Government of India for their steadfast support in combating left-wing extremism.
“While the influence of Maoists has decreased, challenges persist,” Majhi acknowledged, affirming the police force’s determination to lead the charge in making Odisha free from Naxal influence through their steadfast dedication and capabilities.
