Odisha CM Distributes Appointment Letters to 1,543 New Recruits at Recruitment Fair

Bhubaneswar, Dec 30: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today underscored the importance of corruption‑free governance and public service while distributing appointment letters to 1,543 newly recruited individuals across 11 departments during the 14th Recruitment Fair at the Bhubaneswar Railway Auditorium.

In just 18 months since assuming office, the administration has provided 39,459 government jobs, reaffirming its commitment to youth empowerment and state development.

The appointments span diverse sectors, including education, agriculture, finance, tourism, police, and planning. Notably, 681 Physical Education Teachers and 74 Postgraduate Teachers joined the School and Mass Education Department, while 315 Soil Conservation Extension Workers strengthened the Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment Department.

Congratulating the recruits, CM Majhi described the appointment letters as symbols of perseverance and achievement. He urged them to uphold transparency, accountability, and empathy in public service.

Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo encouraged newly appointed sports trainers to aim for producing at least 10 Olympians from Odisha by 2036.

Tourism Minister Pravati Parida called on recruits to transform dreams into resolutions for Odisha’s future, while Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari reminded them that public approval would be their ultimate evaluation.

The event also honoured national award‑winning teachers Basant Kumar Rana of Malkangiri and Tarun Kumar Das of Koraput.

Recruits expressed gratitude for the transparent and impartial selection process, aligning with the government’s mission to empower youth and strengthen governance as Odisha looks ahead to its 2036 development goals.
