Bhubaneswar, June 13, (OT Webdesk) – Odisha Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi has approved a significant hike in allowances for Civil Defence Volunteers, reinforcing the state’s commitment to disaster preparedness and emergency response.
Under the revised structure, the daily duty allowance has increased from Rs 31 to Rs 150, while the daily training allowance has risen from Rs 28 to Rs 140.
The revised rates apply retroactively from May 1, 2025, benefiting the dedicated volunteers working to protect communities across Odisha.
Currently, fewer than 700 Civil Defence Volunteers serve in Odisha.
