Odisha CM Announces 2% DA Hike for PSU Employees Effective January 2025
In a move aimed at easing inflationary pressures on government employees, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has announced a 2% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for staff working in State Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
The hike raises the DA from 53% to 55% of basic pay and will be implemented retrospectively from January 1, 2025.
This decision ensures that eligible employees will receive arrears for the past nine months, offering a timely boost to their take-home pay.
The announcement, made during Majhi’s visit to Jharsuguda, underscores the state government’s commitment to employee welfare and financial relief amid rising living costs.
The move is expected to benefit thousands of PSU workers across Odisha and aligns with broader efforts to improve compensation structures in the public sector.
