Odisha CM Announces ₹4 Lakh Ex-Gratia for Family of Ganjam Student Who Died After Collapse

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has announced an ex gratia of Rs 4 lakh for the family of Mihir Pradhan, a Class X student from Sri Aurobindo Purnanga Shiksha Kendra in Ganjam district, who tragically collapsed during a morning walk and later passed away.

According to reports, Mihir fell unconscious at the hostel premises and was immediately rushed to Khallikote Community Health Centre.

Despite efforts, doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

Expressing deep sorrow, the Chief Minister conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and confirmed that the financial assistance will be provided from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).

The sudden demise of the young student has left his family, peers, and the local community in shock, highlighting the fragility of life and the importance of timely medical intervention.
