Odisha Clears ₹4,510 Cr Investments, 10K Jobs to Boost Industrial Growth

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has approved 23 new projects worth Rs 4,510.65 crore at the 145th State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) meeting, paving the way for over 10,122 employment opportunities across the state.

The investments span diverse sectors, including wood-based manufacturing, chemicals, apparel, pharmaceuticals, steel and aluminium downstream, food processing, IT & ITES, and tourism.

Notable projects include Century Plyboards in Koraput (Rs 870.82 crore, 1,000 jobs), Paradeep Phosphates in Jagatsinghpur, apparel units in Khordha generating nearly 2,900 jobs, and PwC Services LLP’s ITES facility in Khordha (Rs 60 crore, 640 jobs).

Projects will be distributed across 11 districts—Balasore, Bolangir, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kalahandi, Kendujhar, Khordha, Koraput, Puri, Sambalpur, and Sundargarh—ensuring balanced industrial growth.

The approvals align with Odisha’s “Purvodaya” initiative and the state’s Viksit Odisha 2036 vision, reinforcing its position as a leading industrial hub in Eastern India.
