Odisha Clears ₹4,111.80 Crore Investments Nearly 10,000 Jobs to Follow

Bhubaneswar: In a major boost to Odisha’s industrial landscape, the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) has approved 23 projects worth Rs 4,111.80 crore.

The decision, taken during the 144th meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg, is expected to generate 9,924 jobs across 11 districts.

The projects span diverse sectors including aerospace and defence manufacturing, shipbuilding, apparel and textiles, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, mineral beneficiation, logistics, tourism, and hospitality.

Among the notable approvals are Nipha Limited’s Rs 384 crore railway component unit in Khordha, Inventgrid India’s Rs 300 crore multi-drone manufacturing centre in Ganjam, and a Rs 339.40 crore shipbuilding and repair facility in Bhadrak. J.G. Hosiery’s textile unit in Khordha stands out as the largest employment generator, promising 2,350 jobs.

Cuttack will see multiple pharmaceutical and chemical plants alongside a logistics park, while Sundargarh is set to host large-scale mineral beneficiation and steel downstream projects.

Puri and Sambalpur will welcome luxury hotels, strengthening Odisha’s tourism sector.

These investments reinforce Odisha’s position as a rising industrial hub in Eastern India, aligning with the state’s Samruddha Odisha 2036 vision for sustainable, job-led growth.
