Odisha CHSE Opens Second Phase of Plus Two Admissions

Bhubaneswar, August 25(OT Webdesk) — The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, has officially launched the second phase of Plus Two admissions for the 2025–26 academic session.

Starting today at 3 PM, students can apply for vacant seats through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) portal, with the application window closing on August 31.

This second phase aims to fill remaining seats across Odisha’s higher secondary institutions following the initial round that began in May.

The first merit list will be released on September 4, and selected students must complete their admissions between September 6 and 10.

For those who miss out, a spot admission round will follow. Choice-locking begins on September 12, with final admissions scheduled for September 18 and 19.

In a parallel move, CHSE has introduced curriculum reforms for the 2025–26 session.

Environmental Education and Value Education have been added as compulsory subjects, reflecting a push toward sustainability and ethical awareness.

These subjects will be included in the 2026 board examinations.

The phased admission strategy and curriculum updates underscore CHSE’s commitment to inclusive education and holistic development.
